Acquired from Mallett by the previous owners as part of Stéphane Boudin of Maison Jansen's scheme of decoration.

Lot Essay

The tables are conceived as antique altars with Grecian palm-flowered friezes. Their fluted pillars incorporate eagle-heads and lion-feet evoking the chimerical griffin sacred to Apollo and are joined by trophies of the hunter-deity's arrows.
