Decorated overall with floral sprays and pavilions in landscapes, the rectangular hinged top enclosing a later fitted interior of a removable box with hinged lid flanked by two lidded tills, one enclosing an ink well and sander, with removable divisions enclosing two hidden drawers, the sides with later pierced gilt-metal carrying-handles, on a later stand with gilt-metal paw feet, the feet stamped '1, 2, 6, 14', the metalwork later, restorations to the japanning
