A set of two Italian maiolica globular jars
16TH CENTURY, PROBABLY VENETIAN Vasi a Palla, painted in bright yellow, ochre and green edged in blue with fruit among foliage between blue and yellow lines, one jar decorated with stylized scrolling foliage to the shoulder and to the base, the other decorated en suite to the shoulder and with blue criss-cross band to the base, the necks with a yellow line between two blue lines (restorations, one with a loss to the rim)
