Lot Essay

Accompanied by Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives confirming production of the present watch with half hunter case in 1906 and its subsequent sale on 15 February 1907.

The actual plain front cover of this watch is clearly stamped with the Calatrava cross and numbered '138', the three last digits of the case number. It can therefore be safely assumed that it was exchanged by Patek Philippe upon request of a former owner.
