A BÖTTGER DUTCH-DECORATED TEABOWL AND SAUCER
CIRCA 1715-20
The teabowl exterior and saucer underside moulded with branches of fruiting vine outlined in black and with blue and green leaves, puce and red grapes and brown stems, the teabowl interior with a flowering prunus branch enriched in gilding below flower-sprays and insects, the saucer with flowering prunus issuing from rockwork, a bird perched on one branch, brown line rims (teabowl with short minor hairline crack from rim, very small rim chips applied with spots of glue, minute wear, flaking to enamels on exterior, saucer with very slight flaking and minute wear)
