Modelled by Jean (Jacques) Desoches, with a farm-girl seated on rocks by a tree, holding a bird's nest with small chicks, her elbow on a basket or birdcage, a dog at her feet, her companion beside her with a bird on his hand, on a rockwork base (restoration to tips of branches and her left fingers and thumb, underside of tricorn brim with shallow restored chip, small chip to bird's tail, base with firing cracks and chipping to edge at back, areas of slight wear)
