CIRCA 1740, BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARK, GILDER'S 23. TO BOTH
Painted with three estuary scenes and a landscape with figures at various pursuits, within purple-line and gilt band quatrefoil cartouches below broad gilt band borders, the ball finial richly gilt (very slight wear to gilding on rim of box, very minor scratches to ground colours)
