Photograph (possibly by a platinum process, with delicate retouching) 19¼ x 23¼ in., including mount, very light age-toning. Roosevelt is shown seated at the far right of a long table, flanked by the other members of his cabinet. Each cabinet officer has added his signature in ink in lower margin.

ROOSEVELT, FUTURE PRESIDENT TAFT, AND THE CABINET. Large-format portraits of Roosevelt and his cabinet are VERY RARE: only two others have been sold at auction in the last quarter century, according to American Book Prices Current. One of the two, by Harris and Ewing, was part of the Forbes Collection (sale, Christie's, 27 March 2002, lot 137, $19,000).
