The case flanked by marble and ormolu torchères with lyre finials, the oval base with central bulrush ormolu mount and banded with rope-twist and beaded ormolu, on adjustable toupie feet, the circular white enamel Roman dial signed Couture A Paris, the movement with twin spring barrels, silk suspended pendulum and countwheel strike on a bell, the backplate engraved Couture A Paris
