The hood with brass-capped inset reed columns and glazed side panels, with moulded frame to trunk door, the 12 in. painted dial with urn spandrels to Arabic chapter ring, subsidiary seconds ring and arch date aperture, signed G. Rose/Newport Pagnell, blued steel hands, the arch with country house scene and later automaton swing feature, false plate stamped WRIGHT to the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 79 in.
