The stepped caddy hood with glazed side panels, the trunk door with chinoiserie decoration, the 12 in. square brass dial with engraved border, cherub and coronet spandrels to silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring, signed Wm. Speakman Junior Old Street/London, with fleur-de-lys half hour markers and cross half quarter markers, matted centre with subsidiary seconds ring with star engraving centre, date aperture with engraving around, blued steel hands, the eight day movement with five ringed pillars, anchor escapement and outside countwheel strike on bell -- 94 in.
