A fine French brass grande sonnerie carriage clock with calendar, repeat and alarm

The white enamel dial with Roman chapter ring and seconds ring at XII, blued steel hands, signed Ch. Oudin, Hger. De La Marine, Palais Royal 52 Paris, subsidiary dials for day, date and alarm, the twin barrel movement with large silvered platform atop the plates with large diameter cut bimetallic compensated balance to lever escapement, strike, repeat and alarm on a bell on the backplate, three position strike selection lever in the base, the backplate numbered 646 and signed Ch Oudin Médailles de 1806 a 1862, gorge case with bevelled glasses, the top glass well engraved with a monogram; together with a red leather velvet-lined travelling case
