An Austrian ormolu grande sonnerie striking pendule d'officier with calendar and alarm
Anton Joworel. First quarter 19th century
The dial (restored) with personalised chapters reading Anton Joworel, outer minute track, subsidiary dials for day, dates and age and phase of the moon, blued steel hands, the movement with chain fusee for the going train with verge escapement with bridgecock planted on the backplate, going barrels for the hour and quarter strike on two bells on the backplate with further smaller going barrel for the alarm, the drum case with satyr bipod feet resting on a detachable white marble plinth with foliate ormolu mounts, the marble base detachable enabling the clock to fit into the red leather travelling case
