Tree calf by Riviere. Provenance: C.F.G.R. Schwerdt (bookplate and gilt arms on spine; his sale, 10 July 1939, lot 1463). ONLY EDITION. Chute 259: 'the first published work on grouse shooting. He takes 17 pages to reach the moor (demonstrating his classical education in the process), and only 8 pages to describe the shooting. Exceedingly rare'; Schwerdt I. p. 218.
