A large Meissen porcelain group of the Triumph of Galatea
1860-1880, THE TWO CONNECTED SEGMENTS OF THE BASE AND THE TWO LOOSE GROUPS WITH BLUE CROSSED SWORDS MARKS, INCISED 2 AND IMPRESSED 96 AND 163
Comprising three parts, Galatea reclining in a purple shell-shaped dolphin-drawn chariot, her arched drapery with three putti framing her, surrounded by turbulent waves with various nereids, tritons and other sea creatures, further applied with shells and coral, on ornamented shaped base with shells alternating lappets (minor restored extremities)
