The hood with brass-capped swan neck cresting and brass-capped outset columns, with breakarch trunk door, the plain plinth raised on wavy skirting, the 12 in. wide painted dial with green reserves for gilt flower spandrels heightened with black penwork, Roman and Arabic chapter ring with dot minute track, the centre painted with further flowers and with subsidiary seconds ring and arch date aperture, signed Peck Wellingbro, pierced blued steel hands, the arch with painted rolling moon, with false plate to the eight day movement with four pillars, anchor escapement and rack strike on bell -- 86½ in.
