Lot 12

The following three lots, numbers 12 to 14, represent a selection of IWC's celebrated "Da Vinci" perpetual calendar chronograph wristwatch model, introduced at the Basel Fair in 1985 as reference 3750. The majority of the watches were cased in yellow, pink and white gold or platinum. A small series of examples fitted with a black or white ceramic case, such as lots 12 and 13, was produced between 1986 and 1997. This legendary model is still in production today, available with a simple chronograph or a split seconds chronograph mechanism, different case materials and sizes. Lot Essay

Accompanied by IWC presentation box and outer packaging containing century slide, instruction manual and blank International Guarantee and Certificate of Origin.

According to the Archives of IWC Schaffhausen, the present watch was sold on 7 April 1987. As the initial models fitted with a ceramic case were numbered, it can be assumed that this watch, engraved No. 1, is the first example of this series with white ceramic case.
