Cal. 79261 gilt-finished lever movement, 39 jewels, the white dial with applied baton numerals with luminous accents, luminous hands, four subsidiary dials indicating phases of the moon combined with lunar calendar, day combined with constant seconds, date and month combined with 12 hours register, eccentric window for date, in circular water-resistant-type black ceramic case with stepped bezel, engraved 18K gold snap on back, screw down crown, gold hooded lugs, two round chronograph buttons in the band, 18K gold IWC buckle, case, dial and movement signed

Accompanied by IWC presentation box and outer packaging containing century slide, instruction manual and blank International Guarantee and Certificate of Origin.

According to the Archives of IWC Schaffhausen, the present watch was sold on 3 December 1986. As the initial models fitted with a ceramic case were numbered, it can be assumed that this watch, engraved No. 1, is the first example of this series with black ceramic case.
