A DUTCH SILVER TEA-CADDY
MARK OF JACOBUS CARRENHOF, AMSTERDAM, 1803, RETAILED BY DIEMONT
Tapering oval and with a beaded base, the hinged cover with a beaded edge, engraved on one side with a double coat-of-arms, the other engraved with two sets of initials, each contained in a medallion suspended from ribbon tied foliage, the inside of the cover later engraved with a presentation inscription, marked underneath
4½ in. (11.5 cm.) high
11 oz. (350 gr.)
The inscription reads 'Presented by The Staff and Pensioners of The Balmoral and Birkhall Estates to Her Royal Highness The Princess Margaret on the Occasion of her Marriage 6th May, 1960'

Given on the occasion of the marriage of H.R.H. The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon, to Antony Charles Robert Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon on 6 May 1960, by the Staff and Pensioners of the Balmoral and Birkhall Estates.
