Wynne-Thomas notes that the 6-page chapter entitled "A Few Notes on Early Cricket" has "a number of very useful references to 18th century cricket at the schools and boys -- even including William Goldwin -- who were educated at Eton or Harrow and have important connections with cricket's history".
