A CASED FOUR-BARREL PERCUSSION TURN-OVER PISTOL BY HENRY TATHAM (2), 37 CHARING CROSS, LONDON

With sighted rebrowned twist barrels signed in full on each rib, platinum plugs, box-lock action engraved with panels of scrolling foliage, sliding safety-catches, chequered figured walnut butt, the pommel inset with a silver plate decorated en suite with the action and housing the original two-part telescopic ramrod of blued steel, engraved blued steel trigger-guard, silver escutcheon, and traces of original finish, London proof marks: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with a fine large trade label, the lid with brass circular escutcheon, and retaining some accessories.
