A stone stele, Wei dynasty
Carved on one side with a seated figure of Buddha flanked by two standing acolyte figures, all on lotus pedestals with flame mandorlas, the surround with traces of a carved inscription, the reverse carved with a tree of life bearing a small retreat in its branches, traces of a lime wash remaining -- 9 3/8 in. (24 cm.) high, wood stand.
