by Pierre-Martin Nodille (fl. 1773-1793), marked, Paris, 1789/1790, with the charge and discharge marks of Jean-François Kalendrin 1789-1792
Circular box, the independent cover and base engine-turned with concentric reeding stamped with a diaperwork with pellets at the intersections, within fluted borders, the sides similarly stamped on horizontally reeded engine-turning, the cover centred by a circular frosted gold reserve applied with a scrolling green and red gold foliate and beaded motif, the matted gold borders applied in two-colour gold with trailing laurel leaves, lotus and stylized flowerheads
