The raised hinged lid with a reeded edge reversing to a bevelled mirror plate within an embossed leather surround, enclosing various open and lidded compartments above a pair of panelled doors inlaid with flowering pots reversing to richly embossed leather, enclosing three drawers fitted for carrying jewelry, the bottom drawer fitted with a slanted writing surface and compartments for ink, sand and pens, the sides with carrying handles, on circular grooved feet, inlaid overall with floral scrolls, lined with red silk
