Cards contain lessons on learning the alphabet, upper and lower case letters, syllables, words, phrases, morals, maxims, numbers, brief comments about the calendar, the earth and the heavens, fabrics and clothing, precious minerals, and the seven wonders of the world, anecdotes, celebrated children, quatrains by Aine the elder, Voltaire and Pibrac, sacred hymns by Racine, and speeches in verse by Voltaire, cards are numbered with Roman numeral and lessons in Arabic numerals, no indices, square corners. Backs are plain. Includes bottom only of two piece box that reads, "Chez A. A. Renouard, rue S. Andre no. 55 Et Nicolle, rue de Seine, no.12."
