Early-18th-century calf for CHARLES-HENRI, COMTE D'HOYM (d. 1736), his arms in the center of both covers (Olivier 672.1), spine in six compartments elaborately gilt, two with red morocco lettering pieces (arms on upper cover with small abbrasion, minor staining and light rubbing to edges). Provenance: Count Hoym (binding), plenipotentiary of August II, elector of Saxony and King of Poland, to the French Court; illegiable ink stamp on verso of title, D.G.V.B. (bookplate).
