Each side of the teabowls reserved with a gilt-edged quatrefoil panel painted in puce camaïeu with soldiers in battle, marching or at rest, the interiors with Gitterwerk borders above specimen flower-sprays, the saucers each with a battle scene within a quatrefoil gilt puce ombrierte cartouche with pierced panels, scrolls and shells, within similar borders, gilt line rims (areas of very slight wear) (2)
