Lot Essay

The painting and stippling on the interior of this box are very similar to the interior of a box illustrated by Barbara Beaucamp-Markowsky, Boîtes en Porcelaine, des manufactures européennes au 18e siècle (Fribourg, 1985), p. 152, no. 113.
