Edo-Meiji Period (17th-19th Century)
A shinogi-zukuri wakizashi blade with hilt and tsuba, lacking scabbard, signed Musashi no kami Kunitsugu, itame-hada, gunome hamon predominantly of nioi, fuchi-kashira of geese flying beneath a moon over a rice-field irrigation sluice in iroe takazogan on a shibuichi ground, shakudo menuki of birds with gold inlay, round tsuba pierced and carved in yo-sukashi with hollyhock leaves and hats with gold inlay, signed Masaharu, a shinogi-zukuri wakizashi, blade only, unsigned, hada ko- itame, hamon notare-ba of nie, horimono on the omote of a dragon rising above waves in pursuit of the 'Treasure Jewel', and on the ura bamboo transforming into a flowering plum bough, and a broad shinogi-zukuri katana with o-kissaki, blade only, hada prominent itame with jinie and crude chikei, horimono on the omote futasujibi kakitoshi, plum bough, and a bonji, on the ura futasujibi culminating in tendrils and a bonji, unsigned (3)
