A good late 19th-Century lacquered-brass compound monocular microscope,
signed on the foot ROSS 5214 LONDON, with rack and pinion focusing to the body-tube held on a shaped limb with circular glass stage with clips, substage condensor mount and plano-concave mirror, tilting between two brass columns from the A-shaped foot, with two eyepieces, Ross ¼ and 1in. objectives in engraved canisters, live box and stage forceps, in a fitted ebonised mahogany carrying case with brass handle -- 33.7cm. (13¼in.) high
