A finely engineered and well presented model steam driven fan 'Aeolus',
comprising a Stuart Double 10H twin cylinder horizontal engine with blued-steel clad cylinder ¾in bore x ¾in. stroke, lagged main steam pipe, trunk-type crosshead guides, marine-type big end bearing, dummy belt driven governor, spoked flywheel and spoked pulley with five rope grooves and twin 'rope' drive to fan drive pulley, the fan built into metal ducting/casing, finished in brown, grey, green and red and polished brightwork and mounted on a simulated tiled floor with hand rails, the fan casing with brass plate embossed T. D. Walshaw Engineers Longsledale 1987, wood plinth -- 22.7 x 45.7cm. (9 x 18in.)
