A GEORGE III SILVER SAUCEPAN & COVER,
MARK OF SEBASTIAN & JAMES CREESPELL, LONDON, 1773,
Plain circular, with long, pointed handle, the cover forming a shallow pan with a similar but shorter handle, both saucepan & cover engraved on their respective handle re-enforcement with their combined scratch-weight, "38=3", and both engraved with the crest of George Brudenell, Duke of Montagu, (1766-90), KG,, Governor of Windsor Castle, fully marked on each handle & again on each base, 6¾ in. high (17 cm.), 6¾ in. diameter (17 cm.), 36.75 oz.
