AN 18TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SILVER SEWING COMPENDIUM,
UNMARKED, PROBABLY SOUTH GERMAN/AUSTRIAN OR SWISS, CIRCA 1760,
Engine-turned with wavy bands, unscrewing at top, centre & bottom to form detachable needle case, French chalk compartment, thimble & bobbin, the latter fitting inside the thimble, 3¾ in. long (9.5 cm.).
