Of tapering form, the top of cover inscribed "A. ALLEN", the base inscribed "J. Edkins", complete with 6 fittings, a pencil, an ivory twoleaf aide-memoire, a pair of tweezers, a pair of scissors, a ribbon threader & a later-added Victrian mother-o'-pearl handled, silver-bladed folding knife, Sheffield, 1848 -- 3½ in.
