A MING-STYLE REVERSE-DECORATED BLUE-GROUND DISH

With shallow rounded sides flaring towards the rim, the interior incised with two fish in a lotus pond within a circular border, with four further fish separated by lotus ponds in a frieze on the exterior above a narrow band encircling the foot, all in white reserved against a deep blue ground below the white rim, apocryphal Xuande mark on the base
7¼ in. (18.5 cm.) diam.
