STARSHIP RELIANT MODEL BLUEPRINTS AND STAR TREK II: THE WRATH OF KHAN DEVELOPMENT DOCUMENTS
A collection of approximately ten blueprints from the development of the Starship Reliant miniature for Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, production designer Joe Jennings provided these drawings to the film's producers for approval of the ship's design, then to the modelmakers who built the actual visual effects miniatures, [may include duplicates] some of these early drawings are labeled Star Trek II: The Genesis Project, an early title for that film; accompanied by a collection of seven documents relating to the development of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan including; Screenplay titled Star Trek: The Omega System by Jack B. Sowards, dated Feb 20, 1981; Screenplay titled "The New Star Trek" by Samuel A. Peeples, dated August 24, 1981; Notes from a meeting dated Feb 27, 1981 on the Sowards screenplay; and four sets of visual effects storyboards, one dated May 14, one dated Aug 15, one dated Sept 25, and one undated, all xerox file copies (a lot)

Lot Essay

The two screenplays represent early versions of Star Trek II. Spock dies much earlier (on page 45) in Soward's draft, and Kirk's love interest in Janet Wallace. The villain in Peeple's script is Sojin, who is an arrogant alien from another continuum, and Janet Wallace has become Carol Baxter.
