Lot Essay

One of the most fascinating efforts to return Star Trek to production was the aborted Star Trek: Phase II television series. In 1978, Paramount announced plans to launch a new television network, the Paramount Television Service. Its flagship series was to be Star Trek: Phase II, the second five-year mission of the Starship Enterprise under the command of Captain James T. Kirk. These documents offer a fascinating glimpse of a Star Trek series that never was.
