Fitted with a drawer with pen tray and compartments, possibly previously with a well below, on ring-turned ebonised moulded tapered legs, the top of the drawer stamped 'WILKINSON LUDGATE HILL 4890'

William Wilkinson (d.1833) was an upholsterer and cabinet-maker,who traded from 1808 at 14 Ludgate Hill,London.In about 1825 he brought his sons William and Charles into the business and thereafter the stamp was changed.
