Original blue cloth, spine lettered in darker blue, dust-jacket designed by Arthur Hawkins (short tear to upper wrapper of jacket, some rubbing and slight creasing at extremities). FIRST EDITION, PRESENTATION COPY, the front free endpaper inscribed, "For Jean, with all my good wishes and the hope that you will soon become a millionaire on my 10 Arthur. London, 30 Aug. 61." Jean Le Roy was a partner with Pearn, Pollinger & Higham Ltd, Arthur C. Clarke's agent. She died in 1971.
