A WELL-PRESENTED 32':1" SCALE WATERLINE MODEL OF THE REFRIGERATED CARGO SHIP M.V. RIPPINGHAM GRANGE [1943]
modelled by R.A. Wilson with details including carved and plated hull, deck fittings and superstructure as appropriate with lifeboats, liveried funnel and rigging, finished in black, red and matt, and set at motion within a moulded and painted seascape within a glazed wooden case. Lot Essay

Completed in 1943 by Hawthorn, Leslie, Newcastle, for Houlder Brothers' frozen meat trade from South America, she was sold in 1961, renamed Abbey Wood but sold for scrapping in 1962.
