with rounded sides rising to the slightly everted rim, supported on a circular foot ring, the exterior covered with a pale turquoise glaze running short of the footrim, the white glazed interior enamelled with an iron-red shou character roundel encircled by a foliate pattern, underglaze blue Jiangxi ciye gongsi ('Jiangxi Porcelain Company') mark -- 5 15/16in. (15.1cm.) diam.
