An Export rice paper album, mid 19th Century
containing twelve paintings, richly and brightly coloured, some highlighted in gilt, with interior scenes, each depicting a lady and her female attendant - 12¾in. x 8½in. (32.8cm. x 21.6cm.), lacquered and gilt cover, the front with a lady seated at a table being waited on by two attendants, the back with an oval panel depicting figures at leisure in a garden, paper label to interior of cover reading "CHONGWOO Silks, Ivory etc, Lacquered Ware, Queens Road, Hong Kong", original outer sleeve, the front painted in colours on paper with a lady and attendant, set within leather borders.
