A handscroll, 18th Century
painted in ink and colours on silk, depicting a group of gentlemen seated feasting at a table, a group of musicians entertaining them set to one side, further figures and grooms set amongst the tree strewn landscape, grooming horses, playing games and relaxing - 145½in. x 10¾in. (369.5cm. x 27.3cm.), with signature Yu Ji (1272-1348), multiple sealmarks to the painting and to the silk borders, with additional calligraphic panel in ink on paper - 16¾in x 10¾in (42.5cm. x 27.3cm.), fitted silk brocade box.
