A cloisonne enamel bowl, 17th century
with tall rounded sides rising to the everted rim, supported on a splayed foot, the exterior decorated with a wide register of alternating upright and pendant lotus scrolls, with diaper bands above the foot and around the cavetto and lingzhi fungus borders around the foot and interior and exterior rim, the well with a leaping carp amidst waves, the base with cloud scrolls -- 8 13/16in. (22.4cm.) diam.
