English, circa 1750/1760, later struck with two French post-1864 import marks for gold
Circular bloodstone box with slightly bombé sides, the hinged cover and base with gold mounts chased with fluted c-scrolls and flowers, reeded rims, the slightly raised thumbpiece chased with fluted scrolls
2 1/16 in. (53 mm.) diam.
