A LOUIS XVI-STYLE GOLD-LINED ENAMEL BONBONNIÈRE SET WITH A MINIATURE
the miniature by Nicolas-André Courtois (1734-1806), signed 'courtois' (lower right)
Circular enamel box, the independent cover centred with an oval enamel of a lady in lace-bordered bright blue dress with high standing white collar, yellow and white plumes in her upswept hair, gold mount, the outer border of the cover, sides and base decorated with gold pellets with white enamel dotted surround on blue enamel ground
2 11/16 in. (67 mm.) diam.
