Lot Essay

This postcard was sent to Freddie's address near London's Kensington Gardens, where Denise Craddock was looking after his cats, Tom and Gerry. Queen were doing a short tour of Cornwall at the time and rather than staying at Roger Taylor's family home in Truro, had rented a cottage close by in Devoran.

This 11-date tour of Cornwall, organised by Roger Taylor, was a significant one for the group. It was the first tour they embarked on as Queen. In an interview, Deacon recalled: ...It was good because...we got to know each other really well and it settled us as a group...
