AN EASTERN EUROPEAN STAGHORN POWDER-FLASK, CARPATHIAN BASIN
17th Early 18th Century
With natural horn body of characteristic strongly forked type, the outer-face engraved with a series of repeating panels in folk style and centering on an arrangement of concentric circles and half-circles surmounted by a cross, fitted with iron top with spring cap and wheel-lock spanner of two apertures, and two horn rings for suspension (one basal cap missing).
