AN 18TH CENTURY CONTINENTAL SILVER PENNER,
UNMARKED, PROBABLY GERMAN, CIRCA 1730,
The tubular body with detachable base section terminating in a plain seal, the detachable bell-shaped top separating into a sander & an ink container, the latter with screw-in seal to top, the plain circular flat top also unscrewing, chased with panels of baroque latticework, 5 in. long (12.8 cm.), 2.5 oz.
