MAKER'S MARK ONLY OF JOSEPH CLARE (I), LONDON, CIRCA 1725,
The fluted tubular body with pull-off base revealing 3 nibs, the detachable ink compartment of flask form with trefoil top & thread set in top so it can be reversed & screwed into body to hold it secure when accessing ink, maker's mark only struck 3 times on top of ink compartment & once inside top of tubular body, base with plain oval seal, 6 in. long (15.3 cm), 1.75 oz.
